Church House Dental Practice is well established and has evolved particularly since relocating to our present site. We have considered every aspect to ensure the ambience of the Practice is as calm and relaxing as possible, from the colour scheme, the ambient sounds to the reassuring smells of essential oils. Incidental background music in the surgeries can be individually chosen by patients.

We are a certified British Dental Association “Good Practice” Practice, (see BDA Dentistry.org.uk), in addition to piloting and being awarded the prestigious Denplan “Excel” Accreditation. All dentists undergo continued professional development which is highlighted under their respective profiles. All staff are either qualified or undergoing training.

Safety
The Practice is committed to the very highest standards in both x-ray and sterilisation procedures. We have a dedicated Sterilisation Room and our protocols ensure that all instruments that cannot be disposed of after single use will be effectively sterilised by the most up to date equipment. Our x-ray equipment and techniques comply with the latest rules and regulations and are designed to achieve the highest possible quality image in the safest possible environment.

Individual Treatment
We fully appreciate that each and every one of our patients is an individual and we pride ourselves in treating you as such. You will be actively involved in all aspects of your dental care from initial discussion through treatment planning and provision to aftercare. We will discover your preferences and will always take your opinions into consideration. We can then provide you with the treatment that compliments you best, including detailed treatment plans and, where appropriate, before and after photography.

Our Patient Care Manager will ensure that every aspect of your care from arriving to leaving the Practice will be as smooth and as comfortable as possible.

We are dedicated to giving each patient the time they need so that they not feel rushed. First Class Service
We take great pride in the service we provide for our patients and a first class service both for clinical treatment and customer relations is our highest priority.

We will respond to enquiries fully and efficiently and make treatment as accessible as possible by offering a range of appointment times to suit individual requirements and an emergency out-of-hours dental care service run solely by the Practice dentists. During normal hours, patients with problems are offered reserved appointments the same day so that they can be seen as soon as possible. Priority, naturally, is given to patients experiencing pain.

You will be given a detailed treatment plan with written quote prior to the commencement of any treatment and if there is any change in your treatment plan an amended quote will be given to you. Improving the health of your mouth and the appearance of your smile are both important processes and we want you to be fully informed and confident about any decisions that are made.

Disability Access
The Practice is fully Disability Discrimination Act compliant and there is step-free access to the rear of the building & access to the first floor surgeries & patient loo via our lift. Parking in Shoreham can be a problem but we do reserve a disabled parking bay in the courtyard to improve disabled access further.

Committment to Education
Our highly skilled team of dentists, hygienists, nurses and administration staff have considerable experience in their respective fields. However, we are dedicated to continuing education and to this end, all our staff attend regular external training every year. In addition, we also run an ongoing program of in-house training and hold regular study group sessions.

Children
Children are always welcomed into the Practice and we try to ensure that their visits to the Practice are a pleasant experience. To help with this we have built a dedicated children’s area alongside the waiting room where children will find dentally related toys and books, allowing them, not only to play, but also to learn about their own dental health. This is a good first step to healthy teeth.

We take great pride in the fact that preventative measures have resulted in over 90% of our younger patients being decay and filling free. Fluoride, fissure sealants & dietary advice are encouraged by our clinical team to help keep teeth treatment free. We also work closely with local orthodontists and other specialists and we will make any necessary referral to help improve overcrowding and tooth appearance.

Laptop computer users may wish to take advantage of the wireless internet access in Reception.

A free fax service is also available, if required.

Baby changing facilities with complimentary toiletries & nappies are available.

If you forget to brush your teeth before your appointment, complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste & mouthwash are available in the patient loo.

Coffee, tea & soft drinks are available in Reception.

Payment
We accept all major credit cards, cheques and, naturally, cash. Receipts will be issued for all transactions. In order to help spread the cost of treatment, we ask that accounts are settled at each appointment. Discounts are offered to OAPs, students and young adults and consideration may also be given for more extensive treatment plans.

Treatment can also be offered under our own maintenance scheme, which allows payment by direct debit on a monthly or annual basis. Details are available from Reception.
