Your Consultation

If you are a new patient to the Practice we will carry out a New Patient Consultation which is much more extensive than your normal check up. At this relaxed and informative appointment, we will record as many baseline details of your mouth and teeth as possible, such as gum condition, dental condition, tooth wear and jaw joints. In addition, a full mouth cancer screen will be conducted.

This initial appointment will take up to an hour and includes the taking of x-rays and a full discussion with you regarding any concerns that you may have, any problems that may be present and we will openly explain the current condition of your mouth in a way that you will be able to understand, answering any questions that you may have.

This appointment is also your first opportunity to meet the team. We will listen to your concerns, assess your problems, offer options for treatment and answer your questions in a relaxed and open manner.

An initial treatment plan will be sent to you, together with copies of the extensive records taken, all x-rays and any digital photographs, so that you can understand more fully what has taken place and be more informed as to any prospective treatment. Treatment options available to you will be highlighted along with a full breakdown of associated fees.

If there are any aspects of the consultation that you wish to have clarified or discuss further then we would be more than happy to do so either on the telephone or in person.

Our treatment plans are valid for six months from the consultation date.
